Rock solid.

The Rock Jack:
Crafted through hard work,
a cluster of large rocks piled upon each other,
engaged and supported by wire or wood,
spaced as needed along barbed wire fences
to serve as a point of stability.

....................................

The rock jack integrated into a fence line is a common occurence here in Eastern Oregon.

Where one cannot dig a hole for a brace post....one builds a rock jack.

And quite often, even when one can dig a hole....one builds a rock jack around it still!

.....................................

Stable.
Supportive.
A solid spot for a tense wire to be pulled tightly to.
Around each corner, and at each bend.
Long lasting.

....................................

You may not live in beautiful, Eastern Oregon...

But we have *rock jacks* all around us.

*Significant others who are there through thick and thin.

*Good friends who we are able to lean on unconditionally.

*Family that is always there to weather life's ups and downs with us.

...................................

*Rock Jacks*

Pull tightly to them. They won't fail you!
