O Christmas Tree!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

Thy leaves are so unchanging.

.................

Clint and I haven't put a tree up yet at the house.

Clint's FFA students sell Christmas trees as a fundraiser, and last year we waited until everyone else had picked out their tree, and then we picked out and bought ours.

This year the trees were so popular that by the time we got home from NFR (Karl had picked up the trees earlier in the week and brought them to PR) all of the trees had been sold!

So we're tree-less this year.

But I'm content. Because while we may not have a tree at home, we have so much more.

Love.

Warmth (yeah for our new furnace!).

Christmas cards that arrive daily from our friends and family.

Can I just tell you how much I love Christmas cards!

Family.

New & exciting opportunities coming in the New Year.

We're full. Loved. Cared for. Blessed. Happy. Content.

HE is watching over us this CHRISTmas season.

.................

Now for those traditionalists out there, never fear.

We do have a tree (albeit fake) at our office.

It gives a whole new meaning to the lyrics;

"Thy leaves are so unchanging"

: )

  1. Uh-oh, better not let Josh see your "fake" tree! Ha ha! That's kinda like serving veggie-burgers!

  2. You are a JOY! :) and we have 2 trees ... I'm sure one has your name on it! or just join us during the holidays ... that sounds like an even better idea!

  3. So smiling at this post....I LOVE you for sharing it...because as of this morning we still are tree-less too...Oh, we have one in a box waiting to be put up (Not that my Mr. likes artificial ones...he prefers the real deal...)but, when life is out of control...the box one is what happens! And, for the last three days it was suppose to happen....maybe, just maybe this will be the day :D ha, ha....Most of all..your post spoke the truth...it's not the tree that matters at all...CHRISTmas really lives in the heart! Thanks for being YOU and such a Sweet blessing to my day!
