Thy leaves are so unchanging.
Clint and I haven't put a tree up yet at the house.
Clint's FFA students sell Christmas trees as a fundraiser, and last year we waited until everyone else had picked out their tree, and then we picked out and bought ours.
This year the trees were so popular that by the time we got home from NFR (Karl had picked up the trees earlier in the week and brought them to PR) all of the trees had been sold!
So we're tree-less this year.
But I'm content. Because while we may not have a tree at home, we have so much more.
Warmth (yeah for our new furnace!).
Christmas cards that arrive daily from our friends and family.
Can I just tell you how much I love Christmas cards!
New & exciting opportunities coming in the New Year.
We're full. Loved. Cared for. Blessed. Happy. Content.
HE is watching over us this CHRISTmas season.
Now for those traditionalists out there, never fear.
We do have a tree (albeit fake) at our office.
It gives a whole new meaning to the lyrics;
"Thy leaves are so unchanging"
