Pause: For Thought.

I've been (slowly) reading Max Lucado's "When God Whispers Your Name".

So slowly that I've had to renew it at the library three times now. But I will get through it!

About halfway through the book, he offers some of his "Maxims".

And while the entire book has been interesting and thought provoking, I really paused when I read through these:

..............................

Greed I’ve often regretted. Generosity – never.

No one is useless to God. No one.

Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional.

Succeed in what matters.

You’ll regret opening your mouth. You’ll rarely regret keeping it shut.

Never underestimate a gesture of affection.

..........................

Working on succeeding in what matters.

And trying to keep in perspective that while we fail daily, it's the journey and acts of kindness and lessons learned along the way that really matter.

Happy Wednesday!
