I'm mostly posting this because I want to remember how last Monday night went down.

So sorry to those who find this repetitive... but my memory isn't always the greatest, and this one was one to remember.

For many reasons. :)

After leaving work early, and picking up Lindsay in Hermiston, and then meeting and picking up Sarah in The Dalles, we drove the rest of the way to Beaverton to Powell's where we met my sister Lindsay.

After arriving at 6:00, we realized that a line had been formed since early afternoon to get (magic) tickets for your place in line to see and meet PW.

Unfortunately for these Eastern Oregon girls - no magic tickets were ours to be had.

So we jostled for a place in the mass where we could see...

And then waited.

Finally, when PW arrived, it was like an explosion of cameras.

And the lyrics to Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" ran wildly through my head...

After listening to PW's opening comments and answer a few questions, the book signing began.

Ticket holders 1 through 10 were called. And ticket holders 10 through 380 waited.

And those of us without tickets - well we went and ate!

What did you expect us to do?

So after eating dinner, shopping at the Ross next door, and grabbing some ice cream, we headed back to see where they were in the ticket line up.

Would you believe 180 through 190?

Believe it. So, we kicked up our feet, and people watched.

And let me tell ya - the people of Western Oregon did not dissapoint these rural people watchin' girls.

No offense - I grew up in Western Oregon - but there's a reason I don't live there anymore.

Two hours later, all of the ticket holders had been through the line.

Hallelujah! We were next!

So after some jostling in line...

Well, let's be frank - we cut in line. But the lady who was standing in line told us to - she knew we had a four hour drive in front of us - it was almost 11:00 pm by then - and that all of us had to be at work the next morning.

So bless her heart, we could see the end of the rainbow!

Meeting PW was great - she's so nice and friendly. And very slender.

We each got our cookbook's signed, Lindsay gave PW a necklace that Angela from Blueberry Silver had made, and then we got in close for a group picture.

Then, at 10:50pm, we hightailed it out of Beaverton.

We had beds to sleep in!

But absolutely an trip and experience I'd do all over again in a heartbeat.

Just maybe not this week! :)

Thanks Lindsay, Sarah and Lindsay for the memories and a great trip!
