It has been a crazy week.

(Full) is probably a better way to put it.

Clint & Lindsay made it to Nebraska with all of our stuff.

Lindsay texted me when they got through Wyoming Thursday, "I made it through an entire state without breaking down!".

Something about a relay switch/fuse/thing-a-ma-bob and not having trailer lights at night.

I'm so glad they're there. And they even have the entire trailer unloaded and moved awesome is that?

The PI show this weekend was fabulous. We're going to miss the people we worked with on that show and their friendship.

This will probably be my last post until I get back to Nebraska.

Something about cleaning a house, scrubbing the walls, and loading all of the rest of our stuff into my Camry.

(Pray for me on the last part....but a car can hold a lot of things, right?)

Have the best week!

The wedding.

"This isn't a wedding, this is us just getting hitched."

- Clint Sexson

Pictures by Lindsay Murdock

Even though the "big" wedding isn't until June 18th, 2011...

The "real" wedding happened this June 18th.

A small ceremony with my family there and two great friends.

Nothing fancy. We want next year to be special and big and fun.

But health insurance is important, and it was good to be married before we made the move.

My stylist today told me to bring her pictures of styles I like so she can do my hair on Friday for our small wedding ceremony.

Hey - even though this isn't the "big" wedding, it's still a good excuse to get my hair done, right?

I've been trying to find a shape or style that will work with my curls and (shorter) length.

Here's what I like so far...

(I more like the front of the second picture, the back's a little messy, but maybe with my curly hair, it'd work.)

What do you think?

A quick note.

I feel bad.

Yesterday on my blog post about not feeling connected, I was referencing not being connected to anyone at OSU anymore.

Not Oregon.

We absolutely feel connected and loved and embraced by all of you!

We were just walking back to our car after graduation and thinking about how we won't know anyone at OSU next year.

The world lost a fabulous person in Aunt Judy, but God gained a hilariously funny side-kick in heaven.

We'll miss your loving ways, caring attitude and funny jokes Aunt Judy!

Over and over.

We were walking along the sidewalk in the grass towards our parked car,

warm sun heating pavement,

the halls and dorms a blur of brick around us,

bare feet blistered from *pretty* shoes feeling cool blades,

when he says,

"After this year, we won't be connected to anyone here."

Mind racing.

Feelings searching.

Heart sinking.

How many memories did we have invested here?

Too many to count.

Friends, time, family, experiences.

Jobs, school, homes, life.

Our cups over-floweth.

Over and over and over.

Yes. Of course. Kind of.

I've been struggling lately with the question,

"Are you excited about Nebraska?"

How do I answer?

Of course!

Kind of?

I am excited about our move.

I really am.

New opportunities, new friends (hopefully) and a new lifestyle await.

And I'm excited for them to get here.

I'm excited Clint gets to go home and do what he does best.

I'm excited for new challenges.

I'm excited to have a gym to go to after work each day.

(Hey, it's the small things.)

Just some of the things I'm excited about.

But as I answer this oft-asked question, a part of me is is fighting to say...

I'm going to miss this {life} we've had for the past few years terribly.

My family.
Our friends.
Our lifestyle here.

In a way that those I'm speaking to understand.

That when I say "Yes, we're excited!"

I also mean -

Of course.

Kind of.

We've chosen this path.

And I'm thankful we've had the opportunity to make the choice.

And not have the choice made for us.

holy experience

All the single ladies...

Our little puppies are growing like weeds - and starting to get into trouble.

(Not really, but they think tipping their mama's food bowl over and scattering her dog food is great fun!)

The females are outnumbered by the males, but they're holding their own pretty well.

They love to be played with, and I can pick them up and lay them over on their back while I hold them, which Clint says is a sign of submission....a good trait to have in a cattle dog.

I've been trying not to get too attached....

Because we've made the final decision not to keep one.

(Moving with puppies probably isn't the best idea for us right now.)

But there are two great families who have already told us they'd like a female, so I thought I'd put these up so they can start to decide which one they want.

Of the three females, one is all black and white, and the other two are marked like their mother; mostly black and white, but they have brown on their cheeks and on their legs where the black meets the white.

The Tri's:

I can tell this one apart by the wider blaze on her face -

And this one has more of a narrow blaze -

The Black & White:

She's a bit of a chunk!

So, we'll still have a female left and three males and we're looking for good families who'd like a (free) puppy!

I'll put pictures of the boys up next week.
