Day 7.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving....

I'm giving thanks this month each day on my blog.

......

Day 7

I'm thankful for this blog.

 This is my 500th post.

That can't be real...it seems like just yesterday I sat down and wrote this.
Crazy how time flies.

I'm so thankful that Lindsay introduced me to Blogger, that I had so many great blogs to gain inspiration from, and that I stuck with this.

Looking back, I think my blog & writing has changed quite a bit...hopefully for the better.

(The first posts I wrote are kind of painful to read....but if you're not green and growing, you're ripe and rotten, right?)

They say that a successful blog has consistent content.  But honestly, sometimes it is hard to find time every day to write. Others, it's hard to find time to take pictures.  And others - it's hard to find words that piece together pictures and after feeling overwhelmed, I just click the little box with the X in the corner and do something else with my time.

And then on some days...
I just post pictures of cows, and are thankful that some of you still stick around.  :)

Luckily there are also days when the words flow, the pictures make sense and I feel like it all just comes together into a cohesive post.

And while I hope you enjoy this blog too....
I hate to be selfish, but I do this because it's good for me.

This process of documenting our life, and sharing it with others has been positive for me.  It's something that I can do whenever and wherever I want to.  It gives me a creative outlet that I don't think I'd probably have anywhere else, and it lets me keep family and friends informed about what's going on in life without having to make a zillion phone calls or emailing a ton of pictures.

So here's to another 500 posts.

Thanks for sticking with me...
I'm thankful for you, your comments and your encouragement too.

..............

What are you thankful for today?
Join me (and a whole lot of other people) in giving thanks.
On a blog, on Facebook, a private journal, or a thought kept in your head.

I bet you'll be thankful you did!
