Our 2012 in pictures.

- 2012 -

You've been good to us.

Just like other years, you were filled with ups & downs, opportunities and set backs.

But most importantly;

You've been a year filled with width.

2013 - We're ready.

Christmas Presence

My friend Lindsay says,
"Christmas is about presence, not presents."

Clint and I spent the day together at the ranch, feeding cows, checking heats and making sure everything was set.

Because even on Christmas, the cows still need to be fed.

I left my camera at home, but did take a few pictures with my cell phone.

Patsy had even made Christmas cookies, and left them in everyone's feed trucks.  What a great Christmas breakfast!  I may have eaten a few...or five of them.  :)

Then Terry & Anna invited us over for Christmas dinner, complete with prime rib and a relaxing afternoon spent watching Chevy Chase and his family spend their hilarious holidays in "Christmas Vacation".

Which neither Clint nor I had ever one else could really believe it, but when you don't own a DVD player, you don't spend a lot of time watching movies.

Merry Christmas from our home to yours - we hope your day was surrounded in {presence}.

Life, love and cows.

Life is still busy.

I am still not ready for Christmas, but my laundry pile is smaller which is a victory in itself.

I still love this man.  Even when we're tired and grumpy.  He means the world to me.

The cows are happy to be fed each day.

And the guys show up each day to make sure it gets done.

I don't know how happy the cows are about being bred.

But Double M will be happy next fall when they have a calf at side!

Special times 2.

Two very special young men have birthdays today.

Even though 3 years separate them, I think if they lived in the same state, they'd be pretty good friends.

Both love cattle and the ranching life.
Both are gregarious, funny, kind, loving and smart.

Happy Birthday Mason & Jace!

Here's to another year of blessing the world with your presence!

Note: Our nephew Jace was pretty sick last week, and we were tickled when he was released from Denver Children's Hospital late Sunday night.  They took great care of him, and his parents.  I was afraid he was going to have to spend his 11th birthday in the hospital, but he's home and on the mend.
We love you buddy!
