Why worry isn't worth it.

Congress kind of left us hanging this morning.

They didn't pass a budget for FY2014, so our office along with others shut down for an indefinite period.
No working, no serving our producers and no paychecks.

But I'm not worried.

I don't have any control over how and when Congress passes a budget.
I can't decide when the government will re-open.
I can only make the best of the extra time at home I've been given and keep on swinging with the day and what it brings.
Worrying about when I and the rest of my co-workers go back to work certainly won't help anything.

.........

There are a lot of things that are within our control.

And then, there are the things that aren't.

And those things....aren't usually worth the worry.

  1. Awesome post. Such a good way to look at a situation out of your control. Hang in there!

  2. Darcy,
I like you attitude! I know it's not easy to not worry, but it is out of your hands. In the big picture things have a way of working out.

Thanks for the comment today. I am bummed out about Women in Ag! I told the rancher making sure our livestock is situated for the storm is more important than the conference. Like I said before, it will all work out and I hope the storm is not a big deal.
