The Umatilla County Cattlemen's Association (UCCA) had their annual meeting last Saturday and there was a great turnout!
The meeting & ball are usually held on the same day, but this year the Convention Center double booked us, so the UCCA had to schedule the ball a week later than normal (today). I don't know about the rest of the group, but I am LOVING having the two events separate. There wasn't any running home between the meetings to do chores, check cows, breed heifers, blah blah blah and then throwing on nice clothes before rushing back to Pendleton for the dinner.
We got to stay and enjoy the meetings & lunch, and then take in the afternoon session as well before heading home and doing chores. If it were up to me, I'd keep the schedule this way every year.
Heeeeyyyyy, I do happen to have an "in" with the President-elect, lol!
A big thank you to all of the presenters who took time to address the group, to Randy for getting things organized, to Nancy & Mackenzie for helping with registration, and to all of the cattlemen who came and participated.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone again tonight at the UCCA Ball!
