5 on Friday.

1. Happy New Year!

I hope 2014 is treating you well!  We had such a nice holidays with friends & family, and capped it off with our annual New Year's Eve gathering at our house.  Our gathering is pretty low key - kids are welcome, drinks & food are provided and no one is expected to make it to midnight.  Although some years we do, 2014 was not one of them! Lol.  We visit, play games (Headbanz & 31 this year - thanks Lindsay and Tess!) and just enjoy one another's company.

I purposely make the menu as easy as possible, but also want things to taste good. The menu this year included:

  • Meatballs (Costco) smothered with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and Vial Strawberry Rhubarb jam & cooked in the slow cooker all day - Kevin there were so many compliments about your jam - thank you!
  • Loaded Baked Potato Dip - a new favorite!
  • PW's Brie Stuffed Mushrooms
  • Salsa Pinwheels
  • Costco's Parmesan Artichoke Jalapeno Dip - we all said it, you can't make a better artichoke dip than this one, so you might as well just buy it!  :)
  • Sliced Tillamook cheese & crackers
  • Veggies, olives & pickles
  • A stocked bar, cold beer, Gatorade & juice boxes for the kids
  • Tess also brought PW's Black Eyed Pea Dip and Sheri made "Millionaire's Coffe" - 6 oz of coffee, 1 shot Bailey's, 1 shot Frangelico and 1 shot Kahlua (I think I got that right)
Thanks to everyone who came over - we value each one of you and your friendship!

2. Bunco Baby

I strategically plan my Bunco month to host in January - because I know my house will be extra clean & organized from our New Year's Eve party!

Hey, a girl's got to help herself.

3. Sale Barn Update

The concrete is all poured (all of the foundation work and slabs) and the building will be on it's way early next week.  The guys are figuring out the pens, alleys and sale approach and it's all really coming together!

4. Tending the Sheep

I don't know about you, but this post just really spoke to me this week.

5. Costco Shelving

We bought new Costco shelves for our basement last week, and I assembled them on New Year's Day.  I love all of the storage they provide, and the only bad thing is I don't think we bought enough of them!  Ha!  Here's to getting organized.  :)

Happy Friday friends!
