We just had the best little weekend!
My mom came over Friday night, and we had nothing on the agenda for Saturday so we spent the day doing whatever we wanted! And when Chandler gets to do whatever he wants - it usually involves playing with a "tac-tor!". So we had a lazy morning playing with a new set of tractors I had ordered for Chandler and then we headed to the pumpkin patch!
And these are the best little tractors - I put them together for Chandler, but if you had bigger kids they could do it themselves, and mix and match. I thought 5 tractors for $30 was a steal, and had ordered these to stay at the babysitter's but since Chandler loves them so much I'm getting a second set to leave at home that Santa will bring.
Chandler was a blur at the pumpkin patch. :) He thought the pumpkins were fine, but was more excited to play with his tractor in all of the straw and dirt. Our boy sure loves tractors right now. I was happy to pick up a few pumpkins to have on our front & back steps.
We spent the rest of the day playing with.....
You guessed it - tractors! :)
I ran to the store to grab milk, bread and salad in the afternoon. Since mom stayed at home with Calvin, I had hands free to let Chandler push his own cart. Aren't these little carts so cute that our local grocer has??? Chandler LOVES to push, and does a great job not running into things. The only hard part is checking out and putting them back. It's hard when you're 1 1/2 to understand why we can't always have what we want.
My mom headed home Sunday morning, and we headed out to preg and vaccinate our cows. I thought it was hilarious that Chandler wanted a glove, like his dad - but isn't he the cutest???
Our neighbors let us use their facilities (our chute is up at Ukiah, rented out) and I told Chandler we needed to leave it cleaner than we found it - so we whipped out the broom. Tractors might be number 1 in Chandler's book, but a broom is a pretty close second.
Meanwhile, Cal was out. :) Sweet boy - he's such a good baby!
We hauled the cows back home, and then headed to Ukiah for a Sunday drive to take the hydraulic chute 25 miles down the road to another ranch who was renting it.
It was a GREAT weekend! It's not often we get a "slow" weekend, so it was fun to get a few things we wanted to do (vs had to do) off of the list.
Hope your weekend was great too!
