This week in 4 pictures and paragraphs.

Life right now is a bit like a hot wire fence.
Stretched, strung out, and pulled tight.
But it's also electric and from where I stand, it's best just to live -
and let the activity carry you through the days.

I'm headed to Prairie City tonight to help breed a set of heifers tomorrow and Thursday at Riverside Ranch.

I'm not quite sure what to expect.
Something about camera crews, scripts, and maybe being on TV.
I hear Pam Minick will be there.

{Pulling semen} - I can do.

Cowboys, fancy shirts and slick hats - well, that's just not quite in my repertoire.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Don't worry - I'm not wearing a hat.  But I did promise to wear jeans.

(Even though I still stick by my guns that running pants are WAY easier to clean after a day of breeding heifers!)

Do you know what these cattle see?

That's right - an open gate into a fresh pasture of grass.

It's that time of year when a majority of Clint's days are spent moving groups.  The cows here at the ranch could be swimming up to their eyeballs in green grass - but these cattle know that when you honk the horn, and stand by an open gate - their job is to change pastures.

And like all of us, they like to do their job well.

PS - Do you just need to sit down and take a break?
Well go find an episode of Duck Dynasty.  If you haven't watched this show yet on A&E - you need to.  It's HILARIOUS.  And yes - the capitals really are needed here.  Hurry, go set your DVR now - you'll thank me when you're laughing your tail feathers off!

Have a great week friends!
