Pacific City - Part I
My family spent this past weekend at the coast in Pacific City, and it was so fun/relaxing/nice to get away and enjoy the ocean. I meant to write this post all in one night, but Chandler's getting ready for bed, and #momlife is going to take priority tonight. So here's part one of our little family vacation -
Friday morning we headed to Tillamook, and met Henry & Lindsay at the Tillamook Cheese Factory for lunch & ice cream. I'd planned to take Chandler through the observation part of the TCF, but it was BUSY and since I figured he wasn't going to remember it anyway - we just headed to eat our grilled cheese. :)
After ice cream, we headed to Pacific City. We have good friends (Hi George & Donna!) that let us rent their beach house, so we always know what to expect when we show up. It's so nice to know exactly what to pack, and walk into a house that is comfy and where we know where things are.
We spent the rest of the afternoon napping, hanging out and just relaxing. Mom made clam chowder, and Henry brought home crab that he'd caught in the crab pots he'd set out that afternoon. Then we headed to the beach for a little after dinner walk.
The next day Mom, Lindsay, Henry & Chandler hiked Cape Kiwanda. We thought they were just taking Chandler on a quick walk to the beach, until I got this picture from Lindsay....
When they got back, we headed out on the boat and started crabbing! I took a ton of pictures of that, so I'll post those later this week - but it was fun!
After cleaning & cooking the crab, and dinner - we headed back down to the beach. Chandler loves being in his backpack, and we had an nice walk.
We got some fun family pictures there too - I'll post those later!
